HELPING OUR YOUNG PEOPLE
We want to build on our intergenerational focus as a church. Moving forward into the Autumn term please consider assisting a leader with an under 18's group once next term. No planning, experience or leading required. There is no age limit to being a helper! In order to keep the provision for 0-18s as often as we would like, we need more help. Please contact Jo via the church officeif you are interested.
COMMUNITY LUNCH
We are in need of someone to make soup for this event on a regular or an occasional basis. The soup needs to be vegetarian and it can be delivered cool or frozen. If you could help once a month or once a term, please contact Carolyn vie the church office.
ST MUNGO'S HOMELESS CHARITY'S 'SOMEWHERE SAFE TO STAY' PROJECT
St Mungo’s supports people to move on from homelessness into longer-term accommodation. Many clients have lost their homes for different reasons and are ready to move into private rented accommodation. They often face discrimination from landlords due to claiming benefits although the housing element of universal credit can be paid directly to the landlord, so the rent is guaranteed. St Mungo’s can also provide ongoing support to ensure that there are no issues.
If you know any landlords or people with a room to rent in their home who would be open to working with a charity to provide rooms to rent, please contact Kirsty via the church office.
