Our Christmas Cracker returns on December 12th at 4pm in St Matthew’s Church, and we’re looking for performers to make the magic happen. You can act in one of our funny sketches, sing, read something festive, or play an instrument - whatever brings you joy.
Not a performer? We also welcome volunteers to help with refreshments and keep the Christmas spirit flowing. For more information and rehearsal dates contact Carolyn via the church office.
AI DISCUSSION- SUNDAY 8TH NOVEMBER AT 6PM
Come for an informal evening service focused on a discussion around what we have learnt about AI during our recent sermon series and how we, as a church community, might want to take our learning forward. We hope to brainstorm and begin to create a shared set of values or principles which might guide our engagement with AI. A recap of the key ideas will be given and refreshments provided!

REFRESH PROJECT
The Parish Centre is now 30 years old and is well used by many people in the community who enjoy parties, exercise groups, ballet classes and the Community Lunch, among other things. The aims of the Refresh Project are to upgrade the Parish Centre, improve the carbon footprint and make it suitable for the next 30 years of use. We would love to hear what you think and ideas you may have for the future use of the building. The work that eventually gets done will depend on the money we can raise, but at this stage we want to make sure that as many people as possible are involved in the discussions and understand the scope of what may be possible.

DISCOVER SERIES
Please join us in raising awareness for some of the charities and social action projects that some of our church members are involved with. Come out and meet the charities, find out what they do, and maybe even see if you’d like to get involved! This is a great thing to invite friends and family to as well!
WorkSpace (Mondays, 2-5pm) is looking for volunteers. The role mostly involves helping set up/pack down tables, chairs and decor as well as offering drinks/snacks to our guests. You can bring work/projects to do while you're there! Please contact Laura via the church office if you're able to help.
CAP CHRISTMAS HAMPERS FOR CLIENTS - PACKING - WEDNESDAY 9TH DECEMBER AT 8.00-9.30PM
Help is needed with:
Hamper delivery (DBS needed),
Shopping for a client (or two!) and delivering your shop to St Clement's Centre. You can claim back the cost of the items.
Buying a personal non-edible present for family members eg- hot water bottle, blanket, gloves, bike accessories, cozy socks. For children this could be a book, game, pens or hat and gloves.

Making Sense of Jesus: Three Historians Wrestle with History's Most Influential Figure
Join historian and broadcaster Tom Holland, Biblical scholar N. T. Wright, and historian and journalist Molly Worthen for this Veritas Forum discussion of the influence of Jesus from first century Judea down through history and to our present day, what - if any - authority his claims have in contemporary society, and how historians respond to supernatural claims.
We are in need of a flexible and reliable to help us out with small maintenance jobs at the church and parish centre. These works will be paid from the maintenance budget. Our previous contact is unable to help at the moment. Please contact theoffice

The treasury team needs one or two people to help with this vital work. We are looking for help in 2 areas: Stewardship and Gift Aid. Training and support are available, so if you can give a few hours of time to this, it would be much appreciated. Contact David via the church office.
